PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lap type tile for an outside corner improved in efficiency in the applications of the lap type tile installed on the wall surface of a building and the outside corner structure of the building using the tile. SOLUTION: In the lap type tile, which has ribs bent to the rear sides from the upper ends of face plates, in which engaging sections are formed while being continued to lower sections of the ribs and which has tails placed so as to cover the ribs for the tile in a lower-stage arrangement at lower ends of the rear sections of the face plates and is installed to backing materials with projecting sections, the engaging sections are formed up to either of side ends of the tile, side edges are formed at the other ends, the tile is formed in a shape that the ribs of sections, to which the side edges are formed, and recessed sections or projecting sections are formed at the rib places at distances corresponding to a tile thickness from tile side ends on the side-edge section sides.
