SCREENING METHOD FOR ANTICANCER AGENT AND METHOD FOR DISCRIMINATING TISSUE CANCERATION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an anticancer agent leaving noncancer cells inert and exhibiting activity in a cancer cell-specific manner, and a method for discriminating tissue canceration in high accuracy enough to discriminate carcinoma tissue and borderline lesions such as dysplasia. SOLUTION: A screening method for anticancer agents comprising screening a substance having the ability to specifically alter a gene expression level or protein level of Mcm (minichromosome maintenance) 2-7 in a cancer cell is provided. The anticancer agent comprises the thus screened substance as the active ingredient. A method for producing the anticancer agent comprising making the substance into a pharmaceutical preparation is provided.
