PURPOSE: A structure of an outer rotor of an oil pump is provided to be appliable to various engines and to reduce weight of the outer rotor by forming the outer rotor with a plurality of layers. CONSTITUTION: A water pump(20) is an internal gear pump stored in a pump chamber of a pump housing and rotated by a crankshaft, and comprises an inner rotor(30) axially coupled to an end of the crankshaft, and an outer rotor(40) stored in the pump chamber eccentrically to the inner rotor. The inner rotor has a shaft hole formed on a center thereof to allow the end of the crankshaft to be inserted thereto. The outer rotor is formed with a plurality of layers. Widths of the layers are 1/3-1/5 of width of the inner rotor so that the outer rotor corresponding with the inner rotor comprises 3-5 of the layers. The layers are divided into outer layers(41) placed on outer side, and inner layers(42) placed between the outer layers. Weight reducing holes(43) are formed on the inner layers to reduce weight of the outer rotor.
