PURPOSE: A bathroom type air conditioner and a method for controlling the same are provided to realize the operation for cooling/heating, drying of clothing, drying of bodies, ventilation and the like by using twin dampers and 2-stepped heaters instead of a 4-way valve. CONSTITUTION: A bathroom type air conditioner includes heaters(500a,500b), a condenser damper(200), an evaporator damper(300), and first and second exhaust units(400,500). The heaters generate heat by using a compressor(21), a condenser fan(33), and an evaporator fan(35) for heating, and drying of clothing or bodies. The condenser damper discharges hot wind to the outside by blocking a first discharge hole(26) in the case of cooling or ventilation mode. In the heating or drying mode, the condenser damper opens the first discharge hole to blow hot wind to the inside. The evaporator damper discharges cold wind to the outside by blocking a second discharge hole(28) in the heating, drying or ventilation mode. In the other case, the evaporator damper opens the second discharge hole to blow the cold wind to the inside. The first and second exhaust units provide discharge paths of the hot and cold wind via the condenser or the evaporator to the outside respectively. |
