<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a microcapsule which is free from the leakage or deposition of a core substance and stable over time and a thermosensitive recording material which shows a high image sharpness and a superior photostability over time in a texture part and an image part. <P>SOLUTION: The thermosensitive recording material has a thermosensitive coloring layer containing an electron-donative dye precursor and an electron-receptive compound which thermally develops a color in the electron-donative dye precursor and also an ultraviolet-absorbing layer formed so as to reduce the incidence of an ultraviolet light to the thermosensitive coloring layer, formed on a transparent support. The ultraviolet-absorbing layer contains a microcapsule encapsulating an ultraviolet absorber and a petroleum aromatic solvent. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
