<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To promote the development of more excellent software by enabling a software developer to produce and/or publish an instruction manual of free software which he/she developed, without bearing the cost of publishing it, and returning the profit of selling the instruction manual to the software developer. <P>SOLUTION: The costs of producing and/or publishing an instruction manual of free software, which the software developer 100 usually pays when publishing the manual, are borne in place of the developer, and manuals of several kinds of free software are bundled into one book to publish and/or sell it. The costs of producing and/or publishing the book are subtracted from sales and its profit is distributed to the software developer 100 at a ratio that seems appropriate, by using a unique method of evaluation based on the difficulty level of free software and the number of users, as shown in Figures. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO</p> |
