<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control message transmitting/receiving method for multimedia broadcast/multicast service in a mobile communication system. <P>SOLUTION: A radio network controller (RNC) periodically transmits control messages, related to multimedia broadcast/multicast service (MBMS) radio bearer setup to user terminals (UEs). Thus, the UE having requested the MBMS service can set up the MBMS radio bearer for receiving desired MBMS service by the control message. Also, the UE can determine whether the MBMS service, which the UE itself requested, is in progress, and requests information to set up an MBMS radio bearer to the RNC by individual signaling according to the determination result. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO</p> |
