<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an alloy which fills high demand on biocompatibility, contains no well-known allergen, has good mechanical properties, can be seen by an X-ray image, and can be confirmed by nuclear spin tomographiy. <P>SOLUTION: This is an alloy for stent substantially comprising niobium (Nb), tantalium (Ta) and zirconium (Zr). Its niobium content is higher than 50%, preferably higher than 80%, and the rest mainly comprises Ta and Zr. At this time, not higher than 5% of Zr exist and a zirconium coating is generally smaller than the tantalium part.
