PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a recording image having a high image quality by suppressing occurrence of a joint streak effectively on the boundary of bands. SOLUTION: In the inkjet recorder recording in units of a specified area by scanning an inkjet recording head ejecting ink drops having different volumes relatively with a recording medium, number of ink drops being ejected to each unit area of a specified size, obtained by dividing a joint part including the boundary of specified adjacent areas, is counted for respective ink drops of different volume (S402), the color region of an image being recorded in the unit area is judged based on the count (S403), a decimation rank of ink drops being ejected to an area in the vicinity of the boundary is determined based on the color region thus judged and the count (S404), and then the ink drops being ejected to an area in the vicinity of the boundary are decimated based on the decimation rank (S405).
