PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a data transmission/reception system that can quickly and efficiently transfer data when two devices operating at operating frequencies of different systems transmit and receive data via a dual port SRAM. SOLUTION: A memory space of the dual port SRAM connected between the device A and the device B via data transfer lines 4 and 5 is divided into seven blocks. A state notification signal line 6 comprising six signal conductors is further connected between both devices. Signals of 1 or 0 for indicating whether the device A or device B accesses each block or not are supplied to the signal conductors so that a signal SA (S2, S1, S0) notifies a state of access of the device A to each block and that a signal SB (S5, S4, S3) notifies a state of access of the device B to each block. According to the access state signals, writing of transfer data into each block and reading of the written transfer data from each block are controlled. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
