PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rope fastener with which a rope or the like can be used while being surely stretched, which can be moved in the direction for loosening the rope, and can instantaneously detach the rope or the like with one operation, by retaining the rope or the like at a support shaft. SOLUTION: It characterized in that the support shaft for retaining the rope or the like is projectingly provided on the main body provided with a retaining hole and an insert hole, to which the rope or the like is to be inserted.
