PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve an applicator mainly such as a ball-point pen filled with ink including a variety of fillers, a ball-point pen filled with ink which is easily erased by the rubbing action of an eraser in handwriting or a ball-point pen filled with a white ink for correcting an erroneous handwriting. SOLUTION: This applicator has a ball-point pen tip at the nose; an ink reservoir tube, at the rear, which is filled with an ink and equipped with a follower to follow its consumption at the rear end of the ink; a receiving member in close contact with the back of a nose ball, with a groove formed to a proper depth at a specified spot of the forward end of the member; and a valve member formed of an elastic body e.g. a rubber material or a resin at the rear end of the receiving member. The forward end part of the receiving member presses the back of the nose ball by the resilient force of the valve member, and the nose ball comes into close contact with the inner face of a ball embracing part at the forward end of the tip. Further, when the applicator is used, the valve part of the valve member opens to allow the free passage of the ink following the receding of the receiving member by the pressing of the nose ball.
