PURPOSE: A negative electrode for a lithium battery is provided to improve battery capacity and adhesiveness between the lithium negative electrode and a negative electrode tab, thereby reducing short circuit. CONSTITUTION: The negative electrode(4) for a lithium battery comprises a lithium plate in which a part bound to the negative electrode tab(18) has 0.1-5 micrometer of average surface roughness(Ra); and the negative electrode tab. The lithium battery(1) comprises the negative electrode, a positive electrode(2) containing at least one positive electrode active material selected from a group consisting of sulfur, Li2Sn(n is 1 or more), Li2Sn(n is 1 or more) dissolved in catholyte, organic sulfur compound and (C2Sx)n wherein x is 2.5 to 50 and n is 2 or more, and electrolyte. |
