PURPOSE: A current reduction apparatus is provided to prevent the current consumption due to the toggle of an unnecessary global address line, by toggling a global address only at a command assembly where an address inputted from the external is meaningful. CONSTITUTION: An address buffer(110) receives an external address and stores it temporarily, and then transfers it. A latch part(120) receives the address signal from the address buffer, and receives a clock signal from the external, and generates a synchronous address signal by synchronizing the address signal to the clock signal, and outputs the synchronous address signal to an address line according to a control signal. And a decoding part(130) decodes a command, and then outputs an enabled control signal to the latch part when the command requires an external address input.
