<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a housing type syringe with a closed body for easily, rapidly and positively housing an injection needle and an injection needle holder in a sealed state in the body of the syringe. <P>SOLUTION: This housing type syringe comprises a syringe body part 12 having an internal chamber provided with front and rear opening end parts, and a piston and a shaft 14 accommodated in the syringe body part. One end of the shaft 14 extends from the rear opening end part, and the shaft is provided with a pair of spaced collars along the longitudinal direction. A lip part provided at the rear end part of the body part is locked between the collars. The syringe further comprises the injection needle holder 18 and the injection needle 22. The injection needle holder is detachably held to the front end part of the body part so that the body part houses the injection needle holder and the injection needle toward the rear end part. The piston and the injection needle holder are provided with engaging means, and the piston is movable in the body part.
