<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide boiled rice food packaged in a sealed container slightly causing breakage of rice grain into pieces due to retorting, and having favorable flavor and palate feeling; and to provide a method for producing the boiled rice food packaged in a sealed container. <P>SOLUTION: The boiled rice food packaged in a sealed container is obtained through the following process: mixing a seasoning liquid comprising (A) food material containing polished rice and/or unpolished rice and (B) seasoning liquid containing aqueous extract obtained from matured tea material produced by admixing tea material with sake and acid fermented milk and maturing the mixture, cooking the mixture as it is or in advance followed by charging the cooked mixture into a container and sealing the container, and sterilizing the resultant container with the food therein. The tea material preferably comprises at least one kind selected from green tea, Chinese tea, black tea and barley tea. The food material preferably contains at least one kind selected from garlic, onion, red bean, soybean, black soybean, kidney bean, green peas, corn and Ume flesh. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
