<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a process and equipment for offset printing of newspapers in particular which enable checkup of the quality of a printed web in a simple and reliable mode. <P>SOLUTION: The process and the equipment for determining the position and/or the shape of at least one mark on a web 10 to be printed are provided. The position and/or the shape of at least one mark in an image to be printed is determined by using prepress data. The equipment for determining the position and/or the shape of at least one mark on the web 10 to be printed comprises an input device 40 for inputting the prepress data and a device 42 for determining position data and/or the shape regarding the mark on the basis of the inputted prepress data. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
