<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hanging method for a cable capable of safely and economically installing a cable. <P>SOLUTION: In an overhead line 1, when a supporting cable 4 and a supported cable 5 are integrally hung by a cable hanger 6, a contributing rate of a load working on the whole hanging line is determined depending upon the magnitude of the Young's modulus and wind-receiving cross-section of each of the supporting cable 4 and the supported cable 5.
