<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a security system, easily setting/releasing the alarm mode, and to provide an alarm mode setting method of a security system. <P>SOLUTION: The security system 1 comprises a mobile terminal side signal sending circuit 15, a locking/unlocking control microcomputer 20, abnormality detection sensor 22, an alarm mode setting switch 21, and a security control microcomputer 24. The locking/unlocking microcomputer 20 determines true/false of the ID code included in the ID signal from the mobile terminal side signal sending circuit 15, and locks or unlocks door keys 11, 12 if the ID code is determined to be true. The alarm mode setting switch 21 is operated for setting the alarm mode to activate the detection function of the abnormality detection sensor 22.
