<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a highly safe motor-driven steering lock device which prevents an actuator for operating a lock bolt from being malfunctioned. <P>SOLUTION: This motor-driven steering lock device, equipped with the lock bolt movable between a protrusion position for locking a steering shaft and a retreat position for unlocking the steering shaft; and the actuator which operates the lock bolt and retains the lock bolt at the retreat position at least in an inoperative state, includes a power supply control means for controlling the energizing of the actuator.
