CONTROL METHOD FOR CASK CONVEYANCE EQUIPMENT AND CASK CONVEYANCE SYSTEM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control method for cask conveyance equipment wherein safety and reliability in automatic conveyance of a cask by use of an air pallet is enhanced and measures against an abnormality are taken promptly, and to provide a cask conveyance system. SOLUTION: An external information source 20 is installed on a travel pathway or in its vicinity of the cask conveyance equipment in a storage building in which the cask is stored. The cask conveyance equipment comprises a driving device 101 having a traveling mechanism 110 functioning as a drive source for traveling and a steering mechanism 106 for steering the traveling direction, a traveling pathway detection means 120 for detecting the external information source 20 and a controller 133 for controlling the traveling speed on the basis of pathway information outputted by the pathway detecting means 120. The controller 133 controls the driving device 101 by recognizing a deceleration or a stop position so that stable conveyance is realized. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
