PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a turning mechanism for accurately producing a desired rotating load with a simple constitution in the turning mechanism of a stand type thin television. SOLUTION: This turning mechanism is a turning mechanism between a body part and a stand part of the stand type thin television, and is constituted so that the body part has a first magnetic member; the stand part has a second magnetic member; an adjusting member is provided between the first magnetic member and the second magnetic member; and a prescribed turning load is generated by sliding the first magnetic member and the adjusting member, and the second magnetic member and the adjusting member when the body part turns with respect to the stand part.
