PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate the installment in a vacuum device and to improve the efficiency of incidence. SOLUTION: The bundle optical fiber 11 is constituted of a glass tube 14 and a bundle part 13 formed by bundling a plurality of optical fibers 12 arranged inside a glass tube 14. The glass tube 14 covers the periphery of the bundle part 13 over the entire length and the optical fibers 12 are melted and integrated with each other to be arranged without gaps in the glass tube 13. The area ratio of a core 21 to the end surface of the bundle part 13 is controlled to≥0.70. Fluorine is added into the core 21 and a clad 22 constituting the optical fiber 12. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
