PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bile acid-adsorptive polymer which can efficiently adsorb bile acid, and to provide a hypocholesterolemic agent which contains the bile acid-adsorptive polymer as a main ingredient, can decrease the dosage to a patient, can reduce loads to the patient, and has excellent compliance. SOLUTION: This bile acid-adsorptive polymer is characterized by being the copolymer of at least one vinyl monomer of quaternary ammonium salt with at least one cross-linkable monomer and having a degree of swelling of≥10 times in water.
