PURPOSE: An extendable roll bar and crane device is provided to separate a gap away from a vehicle at which objects are lifted up and down by extending the length of a lifting member and to easily rotate the lifting member around a vertical rotary shaft by applying a pivot improving device. CONSTITUTION: An extendable roll bar and crane device(10) is composed of first and second leg members(11,12) attached to the opposite side defined by a vehicle; a lifting member(13) for defining first and second end regions(14,15); and a tensioning device for extending the length of the lifting member. The first end region is releasably attached to the first leg member. The second end region is rotatively attached to the second leg member. The lifting member is extended crosswise from one leg member to the other leg member by operating the roll bar and crane device as a crane when the first end region is released from the first leg member and as a roll bar when the first end region is attached to the first leg member.
