The bar, designed to be fixed between sliding and fixed glass panels, has a square U-shaped cross-section and an anchoring projection (11) on the inner surface of at least one side wall (10b) at its lower end that interacts with a lip on a slideway (5) that extends obliquely towards the base (10a) of the bar. The lower section of the bar also has a stop projecting inwards from one side wall to make contact with the lower end of the window slideway. The anchoring projection is made by an auxiliary mould component during the moulding operation of the bar.
