A first segment (2) of the ramp is swivel mounted beside the entrance of the vehicle and can be rotated horizontally as well as vertically (1). Two more swivel mounted segments (4, 7) are part of the unit. For use the segments (4, 7) are unfolded around two vertical axles (3, 5) into a platform, which is then rotated around a horizontal axis (1) in order to facilitate a buggy or a wheelchair to enter the tram or bus.
