Disclosed is the use of polyfluoride polyethers of general formula (I) X-CF2O(CF2O)m-(CF2CF2O)n-CF2X, wherein X represents H, F, C1 to C5 alkyl, or partly fluorinated or perfluorinated C1 to C5 alkyl, or COOR, R representing C1 to C5 alkyl, partly fluorinated or perfluorinated C1 to C5 alkyl, or OR, R representing C1 to C5 alkyl, partly fluorinated or perfluorinated C1 to C5 alkyl, and m and n represent a number between 0 and 5, and the mixtures thereof as a flame retardant in solvent mixtures for conducting salts in electrolyte systems used for rechargeable batteries. |
