The releasable connection is for housing type components such as sensor-actuator-boxes which have outer connecting faces (3-6) with grooves (7) in which fit connecting elements. The connecting element is constructed as an intermediate component (11) to increase the spacing between the housing type components (1,2) and has direct bearing, counter connecting faces corresponding to the connecting faces of the housing type components and upon which are located tongue elements fitting in the grooves.
