PURPOSE: Provided is a pouch type secondary battery, which can prevent short circuits between electrodes in a sealed end part of a pouch case and prevent the corrosion of a metal core exposed from the end part of the pouch case. CONSTITUTION: The pouch type secondary battery comprises: an electrode assembly(40) comprising a first electrode plate, a second electrode plate and a separator, wherein a first electrode tap(42a) and a second electrode tap(42b) are extended from the first and the second electrode plates; the pouch case(50) receiving the electrode assembly(40) and having a sealing part(53) which seals at least one of the first and the second electrode taps(42a)(42b) at the state of exposure; an insulating part(60) formed on the end part of the sealing part(53) in the bent direction of the exposed electrode taps(42a)(42b).
