The fuel injector (1) has a fuel inlet (31) supplying fuel to a nozzle (32). After traversing a diffuser (33) the fuel passes to a reformer through outlet (34). A chamber (37) is formed between the nozzle and diffuser which has an intake pipe (35). A slide valve (36) is fitted in the entrance to the diffuser, by the aid of which fuel can be diverted to the cell burner, or anode exhaust gas fed into the chamber through the intake pipe.
