PURPOSE: An apparatus for treating recyclable plating washing water is provided to separately recover plating chemicals and reusable water from washing water generated in the plating process, tightly control water quality and recover evaporated water, and a method for efficiently treating plating washing water using the apparatus is provided. CONSTITUTION: The apparatus comprises a plural storage tank type buffer tanks(10) for overflowing washing water of water tank having the highest turbidity to the buffer tanks from washing tanks consisting of a plural water tanks per plating processes; first filtering unit(20) for supplying filtered washing water to second storage tank(12) by filtering the washing water of first storage tank(11) positioned at the input side; second filtering unit(30) for supplying filtered water into second water tank(1b) and supplying concentrated water into the second storage tank by filtering the washing water of second storage tank; third filtering unit(40) for supplying filtered water into the second storage tank and supplying condensate water into third storage tank(13) by filtering high concentrated washing water of the third storage tank having the highest turbidity; and an evaporating and concentrating unit(50) comprising a heating and concentrating tank(51) for heating concentrate discharged from the third storage tank, an evaporating and concentrating machine(52) for separating introduced vapor into process solution and water, a concentrated process solution tank(53) for storing process solution concentrated in the heating and concentrating tank, and a cooler(54) into which evaporated water and noxious gas of the evaporating and concentrating machine and noxious gas of the concentrated process solution tank are introduced to cool, condense and adsorption remove the evaporated water and noxious gases.
