A physiological sleeping system supports the sleeping human body and has adaptive longitudinal belt frames with rectangular upholstery units (1-3) between or on the longitudinal belts (4) forming a downward-sloping stepped wedge as seen in side-elevation. The rectangular upholstery units and the longitudinal belts form an individually-adjustable wavy profile which is similar to that of a sleeping person.
