发明名称 UN DISPOSITIVO DE DEPURACIËN DE UN GAS O MEZCLA GASEOSA
摘要
980,430. Purifying a gas or gaseous mixture by adsorption. COMMISSARIAT A L'ENERGIE ATOMIQUE. June 23, 1961 [June 23, 1960], No. 22877/61. Heading B1L. [Also in Division F4] In a system for purifying a gas or gaseous mixture treated at sub-zero temperature in an apparatus for separating gases by liquefaction and rectification, in which a gas to be purified is passed at super-atmospheric pressure through a first adsorber whilst a second adsorber is being regenerated by passing through it at a lower pressure a portion of previously treated gas, the function of these adsorbers being periodically exchanged, there is introduced between the two adsorbers an auxiliary heat exchange circuit to transfer the whole of the heat produced during adsorption in the first adsorber to the gas regenerating the second adsorber whilst ensuring that the purified gas and the regenerating gas are maintained at the desired working temperature. In the Figure, the adsorbers are 12 and 13, and the auxiliary circuit is represented by the heat exchangers 17, 18 and 19, compressor 20, and expansion valves 9, 10 and 11. Compressor 20 has its output connected to the top of 18 through expansion valve 10, and its intake connected to the top of 17, and the appropriate sections of these exchangers contain a liquid, e.g. liquid nitrogen, air or oxygen, in the presence of its vapour, the boiling point of this liquid at the pressures in the respective circuits being the desired working temperature of the purified gas and the regenerating gas respectively. The exchangers 17 and 18 are connected by expansion valves 9 and 11 to permit the exchange of vapour or liquid between them. As shown by the solid line I the gases to be purified pass through items 14, 12, 17, 14, 16 and into fractionating column 21 and as shown by the dashed line II the portion of product used as regenerating gas passes through items 16, 15, 18, 13, 15, and to waste. In passing through 12, the gas to be purified is heated and on being cooled in 17 causes the liquid to boil, and in passing through 13, the regenerating gas is cooled and via exchanger 15 cools the entering gas which is warmed up in exchanger 18, causing vapour therein to condense. The resulting changes are balanced in the auxiliary circuit by transfer of vapour and/or liquid through valves 9 and 11. Any general heat losses in the circuit may be compensated for by compressor 20. The purification of H 2 , He and hydrocarbons is referred to and also the separation of mixture of H 2 , D 2 and N 2 into its components.
