PURPOSE: An expanding device for a seat cushion of a vehicle is provided to prevent displacement of the cushion at a collision or sudden stop and subsidence of thighs by moving the seat cushion forward with turning and placing an auxiliary cushion between a main cushion and the rotary cushion. CONSTITUTION: A seat cushion expanding device is composed of a base panel installed in the cut portion of a main cushion(30) to mount a rotary cushion(10) and an auxiliary cushion(11) in the end of the main cushion; first and second brackets mounted in front and rear parts of the base panel for turning the rotary cushion and the auxiliary cushion around hinge shafts; the rotary cushion fixed to the hinge shaft of the first bracket and formed eccentrically; the auxiliary cushion fixed to the hinge shaft of the second bracket and placed in the storage space of the base panel; a torsion spring having restoring force in the hinge shaft of the auxiliary cushion; a striker and a hook fixed to the first bracket and the rotary cushion for locking the rotary cushion; a return spring having restoring force near the hinge shaft of the hook; and a handle(20) connecting to a wire and releasing the hook from the striker with turning around the hinge.
