PURPOSE: A system and a method for recognizing a digitizer pattern of a portable computer are provided to display coordinates information on a screen by detecting/reading the coordinates information in response to an RF signal of a stylus on a webpad. CONSTITUTION: A digitizer panel is equipped with the first conducting material and the second conducting material almost perpendicular to the first conducting material. The stylus is operated on the digitizer panel by a user, moves a cursor as the digitizer panel outputs the coordinates information of a pointer, and selects an item displayed on a display screen. A coordinates detector(293) detects/reads the coordinates information inputted from the digitizer pattern. A digitizer controller(272) makes response information transferred to an LCD panel(122) by reading/transferring the coordinates information detected from the coordinates detector to the system.
