<p>A demountable flood protection barrier is assembled onto prepared ground support fittings without the need for heavy lifting equipment. The barrier is supported by a backing framework and vertical posts, all secured onto the fixed ground supports (a, j). The wall comprises panels stacked vertically between the posts. The barrier is sealed by a waterproof sheet applied from rolls secured to the outer base of the structure. The basic barrier provides protection up to 2.5 Metres. For higher water levels additional sections are fitted to the support frame. The support wall can have the individual panels backed by a grid structure.</p> |
