AUTOMATIC FLUSH VALVE ACTUATION APPARATUS

A flexible drive mechanism for a flushing apparatus actuated by movement of a flush handle (30) via an actuation element (60) is disclosed. The drive mechanism includes a housing (40) and flexible drive system in the housing (40), the flexible drive system including an actuating element (60) operable to move the flush handle (30) between a non-actuating position and a full stop actuating position. The housing (40) further includes first and second bracket halves (74, 80) and first and second removable insert halves (274, 280)for adapting the first and second bracket halbes to substantially enclose and engage a bushing (44) and nut (46) and thereby secure said electromechanical flexible actuator to the flush lever of the sanitary fixture.
