A procedure for centralized monitoring of a number of computer- controlled machines (A/M) involves a central server (ZS), customer-specific, authorized service-system-data (SSD) for automatically determining a competent and available service technician and his/her address (ST), customer-specific information program (JP) for drawing up and sending of e-mails and SMS to the service-technician, in which a first program part of the service coordination system (SWMS) is based on the alarm/call message sent from SIS. A further program part converts the alarm/call message into a SMS and e-mail, the latter being sent for more detailed information in the internet to an E-mail store of the authorized service-technician. An Independent claim is included for a monitoring installation for carrying out the procedure.
