OPTICAL FIBER POLARIZER

PURPOSE: An optical fiber polarizer is provided to remove or transmit selectively polarized beams by forming a groove having a cutting side of a Brewster angle in the inside of an optical fiber. CONSTITUTION: An optical fiber polarizer includes a core(2). The core(2) is formed in the inside of an optical fiber(1). The core has a gradient to a traveling direction of a waveguide of an optical fiber. The optical fiber polarizer is used for removing partially a predetermined beam(18) parallel to a cutting side having one or more grooves. In addition, the optical fiber polarizer is used for transmitting a predetermined beam(14) perpendicular to the cutting side having one or more grooves. The gradient of the core is formed with a Brewster angle according to the inside of the optical fiber and a refractive index of the cutting side of the groove.
