A single control roman tub faucet (8) includes a lower anchor (10) that is attached to the roughed-in tub surround (51) and an upper anchor (18) that is installed on the final decorative surface of the tub surround. The upper anchor is attached to the lower anchor by a fastener (40) that extends therebetween. Outlet pipes (16) extend through the lower and upper anchors and connect water supply lines to die faucet.
