An electric motor, especially a servo motor, comprises a stator which warms in operation, a rotor and a stator cooling device (8) comprising at least one flange attached to at least one end of the stator or stator housing (2) and having a fluid cooling circuit separated from the stator or housing. An Independent claim is also included for an adapter flange for a motor as above.
