A glass panel (16) has opposite glass sheets (10, 11) and a depressurization layer (12) provided between the glass sheets (10, 11). The pressure in the depressurization layer (12) is reduced by a stainless-steel air-discharging cup (17) installed on at least one of the glass sheets (10, 11). The absolute value of the difference between expansion coefficient of the glass sheet (10) and that of the stainless steel used for the air-discharging cup (17) is 20 X 10<-6>/°C or less.
