The display stand comprises a movable chassis (10) with two front (12) and two rear (14) support sections arranged in all four corners of the chassis. A shelf (16) is arranged on top of the chassis, between the front and rear sections. A holding part (24) for supporting the electronic display unit (30,32) is fixed to the chassis. The holding part comprises two rear upper sections arranged as a vertical extension of the two lower rear sections (14) of the chassis, or it projects upwards through the opening in the shelf (16).
