PURPOSE: An indoor unit of a ceiling type air conditioner is provided to reduce noise and to increase wind volume. CONSTITUTION: An indoor unit includes a case(10) forming an exterior, and attached on a ceiling; a turbo fan(2) built in the case to blow air; a fan motor(3) rotating the turbo fan; an inlet(10a) formed on a center of a bottom of the case for outside air to be introduced to an inlet part of the turbo fan; an outlet(10b) formed on an outer ring of the bottom of the case for air discharged from an outlet part(2e) of the turbo fan to exchange heat and to be discharged; and a flowing guide(20) formed on an inside wall of the case on an outlet part side of the turbo fan to guide air discharged from the outlet part of the turbo fan to smoothly flow to the outlet. The flowing guide includes a body part(21) rounded from vertical direction of an axis of the fan motor toward axial direction of the fan motor to minimize flowing resistance of air discharged from the turbo fan; and a protrusion(22) formed on the body part curved down in flowing direction of air on the outlet part side of the turbo fan to stabilize flow of air discharged from the turbo fan.
