PURPOSE: A deflection device is provided to ensure an electrical insulation between vertical and horizontal deflection coils by preventing the lead wire of the vertical deflection coil from contacting the horizontal deflection coil. CONSTITUTION: A deflection device(2) comprises a separator(4) serving as an insulator; a terminal board(12) mounted on the separator and equipped with terminals(16) for horizontal coils and terminals(18) for vertical coils; a pair of horizontal deflection coils(6) disposed in the separator, and which have lead wires having ends fixed at the terminals for horizontal coils; a core(10) arranged outside from the separator; a pair of vertical deflection coils(8) connected to the core and arranged outside from the separator, and which have lead wires having ends connected to the terminals for vertical coils; and a protrusion interposed between the vertical deflection coils and the terminal board, and which fixes the lead wires of the vertical deflection coils.
