The telecommunications system has a first (3) and second (1,2) devices for wireless transmission and an arrangement that can be used for identifying a user of the telecommunications device and that communicates with the first device. There is an arrangement for determining the local proximity between the first and second devices. Independent claims are also included for the following: (a) a telecommunications method; (b) a mobile radio terminal for use with the inventive method; and (c) and a built-in device, especially for a motor vehicle, for use with an inventive method.
