PURPOSE: An SDH(Synchronous Digital Hierarchy) transmission device is provided to install multiplexers and clock units in bit leaking block units consisting of many bit leaking blocks, and to multiplex signals of the bit leaking block units, thereby remarkably reducing the number of line ports of PDH(Plesiochronous Digital Hierarchy) signals demultiplexed from each of the bit leaking block units. CONSTITUTION: Bit leaking block units(1A-1N) demultiplex received PDH signals, and consist of many blocks. A data extraction processing unit(2) extracts predetermined clocks and parallel data among serial data inputted from an exchange. An SDH processor(3) sequentially processes STM-1 reframing, AU pointer interpretation, and TU pointer interpretation functions by using clock signals and the parallel data, and outputs control clock signals and data to each of the bit leaking block units(1A-1N). A multiplexer address unit(4) 4-demultiplies the clock signals, generates 4-phase 6M clock signals, and generates a multiplexer address signal to read data in different phases.
