A textile air-spinning assembly (5, 8) receives a supply of fiber which is spun and surrendered to a drafting roller group which is fixed on a base (19). The air-spinning unit is esp. mounted on a sliding mount (10) by means of which the distance (l) may be varied between the air-spinning unit and the drafting roller group. In an alternative embodiment the air-spinning assembly is mounted on a fixed base and the drafting roller group is on a sliding base.
