PURPOSE: An array substrate for an LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) including a repair pattern and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to be capable of easily carrying out a repairing process to short by forming additional repair patterns on Vcom and Vgl lines without an additional process. CONSTITUTION: An array substrate for an LCD is provided with a transparent insulation substrate(100), a plurality of gate, Vcom, and Vgl lines(105,115,120) horizontally arrayed on the transparent insulating substrate, and a plurality of data lines(110) located across the gate lines for defining pixel regions. The array substrate further includes TFTs(Thin Film Transistors) formed at the cross points between the gate and data lines, a transparent pixel electrode(155) formed at the pixel region for contacting the TFT, and repair patterns(160) formed at the cross points between the Vcom and Vgl lines and the data lines.
